Non solo parole:
A guide to a shared culture

15 words to interpret and understand tomorrow’s society

Definitions, examples of situations, in-depth explorations, instructions for use: “Non solo parole” (Not just words) is Valore D’s initiative that, thanks to the collaboration with Feltrinelli Education and to the contribution of the creative talents of Yoonik, provides an effective tool for understanding both today and tomorrow.

Words give form to thought, which defines the vision we have of the world and our capacity to imagine its future. The “Non solo parole” project identifies 15 keywords to describe the diversities that enrich the lives of people and organizations, with the objective of steering the construction of an inclusive culture.

Corresponding to each of these 15 concepts are 15 illustrations, created using an array of different styles and approaches The illustrators participating in the project embellished the narrative by adding a new language to it: the idiom of the image. . Indeed, the image becomes an ally of the word, as part of the endeavour to overcome stereotypes and prejudices – remnants of a cultural heritage that contributes to the spread of discrimination.

The objective of the project? To create a guide composed of words and images, that has what it takes to launch the journey towards a society that is capable of making the most of the unique characteristics of each individual and of taking account of a plurality of identities and perspectives.
