Inspiring Girls encourages talent, emancipation and freedom
Valore D’s “Inspiring Girls” project: what is it and how does it work?
Inspiring Girls is an international social innovation project operating across 30 countries and targeted at the younger generation.
What does the initiative consists of? Thanks to Inspiring Girls, Valore D brings female role models into middle schools. These women work passionately across various industries, from science, to sport and business, all the way to art, with a view to encouraging young girls (and boys) to become aware of their own talent, overcoming the gender stereotypes that limit their ambitions, educating them about gender equality and widening out their horizons. The project, supported in Italy by Valore D, has already engaged with more than 60,000 young people, allowing them to imagine their own future by following their ambitions, free from prejudices that still remain very deep-rooted in our society.
Thanks to a free digital course called Inspiring Education, the teachers also have the opportunity to offer considerable content of their own creation within the classes, encouraging the youngsters to think big. And there’s more: this inspirational course continues even outside the classroom, thanks to the Video Hub, a free online platform that enables access to video interviews with a multitude of role models.
What social impact is Inspiring Girls having? Let’s take a look at some interesting facts and figures.
This is a project that liberates dreams and aspirations on the part of young people thanks to the in-person input of role models in middle schools.
